Back by popular demand, registration is NOW OPEN for our Virtual Game Design Camp! No matter your child's level of experience with computers or computer programming, they'll have a blast working alongside fellow campers to create their very own video game, with live lessons from Instructors and access to GameSalad^®paid software. Game Design Virtual Camps take place weekly over July (July 5-9th, 12-16th, 19-23rd, & 26-30th) with the 3rd week (July 19-23rd) being an ALL-GIRLS week.

As part of our organization's initiative to promote female engagement in STEM, we designated Week 3 of this camp to prioritize female (including female-identifying or gender nonconforming) registration, as there will be no P.A.G.E.S. camp this summer.

Camp Description:

Game Design Camp is a fun and educational virtual program for all campers regardless of their current skill level in coding and video game design. During this week long program, campers will be introduced to the basics of computer science and programming.

Each Game Design camp takes place over the week with daily guided instruction (9:00AM-12:00PM, Monday-Friday) in a virtual summer camp environment to learn video game design, plus additional activities.This week long virtual camp experience is priced at $75.

Campers will use our specialized video game design software (GameSalad^®) to practice the fundamental principles of design, and even create their very own video games! At the end of each week, all campers will have finished copies of their games to play and distribute as they wish.

Last summer, we reformatted our beloved Game Design camp into our first ever virtual camp experience. We would like to thank all of our participants for all of the excellent feedback, and due to the camp's popularity we are proud to say that we will be continuing to deliver this fantastic virtual camp experience this coming summer!

Our Virtual Game Design Camp has a capacity of 12 campers per week to allow for enhanced small-group support and instruction from our STEM instructors. That being said, be sure to register quickly before camps fill up!
